Latin Mass

“What earlier generations held as sacred, remains sacred and great for us too.”

– Pope Benedict XVI

At the Cathedral we have the great privilege to celebrate Holy Mass using the Missal of 1962, what some call the Tridentine or Traditional Mass twice a week and whenever there is a major feast. This is done according to the norms set forth by Pope Francis in Traditiones Custodes.

The Latin Mass is celebrated on Sundays at 4 PM (Sung Mass)

and on Fridays at 6:30 PM (Low Mass)

February Latin Mass schedule:

Friday February 2, 2024 at 6:30 PM Sung Mass for Candlemass

Wednesday February 14 at 7 PM Solemn Mass for Ash Wednesday

Sunday February 18 and 25 the Sunday Mass will begin at 4:30 PM instead of 4 PM

This is to accommodate the Rite of Election with the Archbishop. Mass will return to regular schedule on March 3

*This schedule can change, but if it does we will make sure to notify here.*
