We’re back in the confessionals!

We are happy to announce that we have moved back to our confessional for the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Since the beginning of the pandemic we have been very conscious of the need to keep the priests and faithful safe and at the same time guarantee access to confession. We have tried many things, from outdoor confessions to confessions in the foyer of the church. Our desire was always to go back to the confessional and after a great deal of work we have come up with a solution that allows us to go back to the confessional while keeping everyone safe.

The confessionals have been totally redesigned to have all soft surfaces removed and to create a barrier that will protect both the priest and penitent. Also we have added a self-cleaning system and strong ventilator to keep airflow. Likewise we are very conscious of the need to protect the sacredness of the sacrament and to ensure that the seal is protected, to that end soundproofing has been improved.

For the time being we will use the first confessional that is by the door on the lane. Please line-up by that door and respect social distancing. When you are finished with your confession please leave by that same door. Confession times are from 11 – 11:45 AM, and from 4 – 4:45 PM from Monday to Friday.
