A new crucifix was installed above the altar of Holy Rosary Cathedral.
Dear visitors and parishioners:
Our new crucifix has three plaques on the back of it that offer a description of how it came to us:
“This icon of the saving crucifix of Jesus Christ was completed by the grace of God through the hand of
Francis Turner. July 1st, 2016 under commission from J. Michael Miller Archbishop.
“This crucifix was blessed on September 14, 2016, the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross.”
“It was donated to Holy Rosary Cathedral by the Abi-Rached family on the occasion of the 70th birthday of J. Michael Miller, CSB, in honour of St. Joseph and to thank the Lord for their beloved Prof. Georges Abi-Rached, P.Eng”
