Development & Peace celebrates 50th Anniversary

The countdown is on for Development and Peace’s 50th anniversary. Anticipation is growingworldwide as D&P members, friends, and partners look to this momentous jubilee honouring D&P’s rich history: its beginnings coming out of the spirit of Vatican II, its roots in the social movements of the 1960s, and its growth into one of Canada’s leading international development organizations. A pilgrimage quilt representing how Canadians, through D&Poutreach, have acted in solidarity with the poor and marginalized, will arrive from the Victoria Diocese and be added to the patch of the Archdiocese of Vancouver for display at Holy Rosary Cathedral. Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop J. Michael Miller on Monday, Feb. 29, at 5:10pm.
