Day of Prayer and Awareness against Human Trafficking

On Feb. 8, 2016, the second International Day of Prayer and Awareness against Human Trafficking will be celebrated in all dioceses and parishes in the world. On this day the Church will commemorate the life of St. Josephine Bakhita, a Canossian Sister who was kidnapped and sold into slavery in Sudan. The Archdiocese of Vancouver observes this feast day as a day of prayer and fasting for victims of trafficking and for those who work to combat it. Starting Jan. 11 and ending Feb. 8 you are invited to join in a Daily Prayer to End Human Trafficking. To learn more, visit rcav.org/world-day-of-prayer-for-human-trafficking/
