On February 3, the custom on the memorial of St. Blaise, is to bless the throat of the faithful after Mass. The words the priest uses are as follows:

“Through the intercession of St. Blaise, Bishop and Martyr, may God deliver you from every disease of the throat and from every other illness. In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.”

The priests of the Cathedral will bless the throats of the faithful after all the Masses (7:15 AM, 8 AM, 12:10 PM & 5:10 PM)
